Blog #4 Preparing to Interview

Content:

1.  Who do you plan to interview?  Why?

I plan to Interview my mentors little brother Chris. Reason being is that my mentor is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to dealing with Insurance or even socializing about the topic, so as you can imagine I wouldn't want to waste a 5 question Interview on him. His brother Chris on the other hand had just started following in his brothers footsteps to learning all there is to insurance. Which is why i thought of him as a perfect choice for my first interview not being to experienced I can ask simple questions like "what made him choose Insurance"?, "how do yo contribute most effectively to the business"? etc. S hopefully the interview goes more than just okay.

2.  You have to ask 5 questions.  What additional questions do you plan to ask?

In addition to the questions I must ask these are some additional questions I plan on asking:
Before you started here what were you doing before?
did you always see yourself doing Insurance?
What is your main job and what do you do in order to make sure by you being there your able to make the business 100 times better?
How long did it take for you to learn your own job?

1.  List your topic here: Insurance

2. ESLR Goals:

  •  As an Ipoly Citizen I plan to adapt leadership skills to it's fullest by taking advantage of what the senior project requires us to do like learning more from my mentor then just the bare minimum.

  • This year to me being an Effective Learner isn't just about learning new subjects in class and hoping the test isn't to hard. I plan on asking for tutoring where tutoring is needed.

  • To be an  Effective User of Technology is and always will be a weak spot of mine. But I do hope this year i can step out of my comfort zone and actually learn a thing or two about Technology before model assembly destroys me as a whole.

  • I have always considered myself an Effective Communicator until i realized with past harkness or class discussions there is still plenty of room to work on. So hopefully this year that gap will be filled with a little work and help from my mentor.

4. What is the most important thing you gained from this experience? Why?

The most important thing I realized from my experience is that education alone can't give you success in life. But on the other hand hard work alone cannot give you the tools you need to fully accomplish your goals either.

Applied

   5. How did what you did help you choose a topic?  Please explain.

What I decided to pursue in this senior year journey of mine was the business world as a whole because I have this thing with controlling the outcome of things and knowing whats gonna happen before it happens and i realized the place I was getting mentored from is a great place for me to start.
