Senior Project, The Holiday

1.  It is important to consistently work on your senior project, whether it is break or we are in school.  What did you over the break with your senior project?
  • For my Senior project I did a total of 28 hrs. over the break and currently I am working on taking classes to get my very own license to insurance. So in order to get Alex's help to passing that test we both made an agreement that as long as I keep coming in and helping out he'd be more than willing to help out with my senior project.
2.  What was the most important thing you learned from what you did and why?  What was the source of what you learned?
  •  The importance of organization. Solely because now that Chris is gone and left unfinished pipeline contact info I'm the one that is stuck inputting everything.
3.  If you were going to do a 10 question interview on questions related to answers of your EQ, who would you talk to and why?
  • I would most likely talk to my mentor solely because of the fact that he has had multiple experiences where people helped him out with his business or had just wasted his time and made the company lose money along along with them.

December At Golden Compass

So where to start off. . . hmmm well I just remember that during the month of November that I had gotten so used to imputing so many memos with Chris it was a hard pattern for me to get out of. To my surprise when I had gotten back from my little break away from mentorship I arrived to realize Chris had left to pursue his dream as a police officer. It surprised us all but we could only wish him the best and hope he did get his dream, but on another note I still continued to do pipeline but there was a moment when I was kind of feeling a bit sluggish that day Alex had a talk with me saying that " for whatever reason you have to do something don't just go in for the hours that you are required but go over that limit and if possible go home home and keep on brushing up on information to help you further in your job because true success will only begin to blossom when you put forth that effort". Then, like a timer going off something clicked in me that day and I was reminded why I chose to do Insurance as my topic. With everything coming me back to me I decided to confront Alex and ask him what the requirements would be in order to get my license to sell insurance. At first he seemed to have a troubled look on his face as if thinking "he's only 18 and wants to do insurance? it's not due able". So as we had continued our discussion at lunch he had decided to help me but only with me putting in the effort of paying for the classes I need to even consider taking this test. These classes will be taking approximately 52 hours of my time and will be costing me $200 of my own money. A small price to pay in my opinion for a small stepping stone in what could be a huge success for me later on in life. Well that happened and Alex just told me I have my very own goal to meet of imputing 1400 contacts on pipeline by january 1st! Of course this will be a challenge but I'm sure this is just a test to see whether or not I'd be more than willing to put forth that 110% of effort. So hopefully by the time I do my January blog I have paid for my license and I have finished imputing everything into pipeline.

Golden In November

So with the month finally coming to an end I will write out my thoughts on what I have done to contribute towards my senior project due during my senior year. well as for hours towards mentorship I am finally done with Alex giving me a grand total of 52.5 hours! Fortunately for me Alex has allowed me to continue doing my remaining 60 hours at the company. As for what I have been doing at the company, unlike last month instead of doing the typical marketing Chris and I were behind on calls he had made in the  past and never recorded. So for the past two weeks we spent man to man bonding time organizing all of the files. I'm not gonna lie it was pretty stressful at first especially tiring since I had to do this during my own time, but at the end of the week when I had received my final 11 hours for the past two weeks I did end up feeling pretty warm and fuzzy inside. As for research I have been completely lagging it lately so I should probably start doing that. Well that was my month of November and happy Thanksgiving.

Content
1. "I reviewed the rule of three or writing an EQ"

2.Review the following EQs

 a.  What is the most important factor in healthy weight loss?
  • yes I believe this EQ follows the rules but the only thing have going against it for now is if they could specify a little more on what type of leg Injury that way they could get more information based on the question they want answered.
b. What is most important to securing a conviction in a criminal investigation?
  • This EQ was somewhat general especially with the word "conviction" and how to secure it. the word choice for me at least was to general and maybe if it was specified a bit more or at least when dealing with an investigation what type of things are you investigating should probably be mentioned in this EQ.
c.What is most important in creating a hairstyle that best satisfies a customer?
  • I don't think this EQ follows the rule of 3 solely because there isn't much research that could be made on this topic it is more opinion based.
d. How can an Anesthesiologist best treat chronic pain?
  • This does not meet the rule of 3 however you can tell that a point was attempted to be made when creating this EQ. To make it more exact however they should add where the chronic pain is coming from.
3.  What is the most effective way to having your employees contribute as a whole when dealing with the very growth of your business of insurance?

October Blog

So with October coming to an end another monthly blog of my month with insurance is required. So what was the most interesting thing that happened this month? Well surprisingly enough I got to step in the shoes of my mentor for a day and understand  where and how he got to where he was to this day. the 2nd interview by far is my most memorable experience at the office with Alex solely because for the first time I was able to comprehend for the first time what perseverance really was especially when you have everything to lose and nothing to gain. Other than the 2nd Interview I have been spending most of my time with James marketing temporary assistant Insurance (my goal always being a minimum of a page.)

Blog 8: Research and Working EQ

1. What is your working EQ?

  • What is the most effective way to have everyone contribute as a whole when dealing with the business of insurance?

2. What is a possible answer to your working EQ? Please write the answer in thesis format. Examples:

  • The most effective way to have everyone contribute in a working environment as a whole is to make sure everyone knows that you are a boss but also someone you can come to if help is needed.

3. What is the most important source you have used that has helped you come up with an answer to your working EQ?
The most important source I have gotten that has helped me solve my EQ is my mentor himself. Just recently when i had interviewed him for my 2nd interview he gave me a page full of answers on how to create a good working environment for any business.

4. Who is your mentor, or where are you volunteering, and how does what you are doing relate to your working EQ?
my mentor is Alex weinberger, and I am doing mentorship hours at the golden compass office. This helps with my working EQ because everyday in order to make a business succeed you need people to work with you as a boss but neither be so freindly like with everybody nothing ever gets done.

Indepependant Componant 1 Approval

1.  Describe in detail what you plan to do for your 30 hours.
  • For my 30 hours I will be working with the company Golden Compass separate all their files into one for the time being until I can start marketing. So basically what that means is that I will e seperating all their sales so they know when to call the costumers to renew their stuff.
2.  Discuss how or what you will do to meet the expectation of showing 30 hours of evidence.
  • I plan to keep a notebook with me at all times to jot down all the hours and important log information.
 3.  And explain how what you will be doing will help you explore your topic in more depth.
  • In order to explore my topic more into detail I will be asking my mentor for information whatever he plans on speaking of for business. Not just that but while I'm doing my job for 30 hours it will only be natural for me to have a few questions to pop up so it would only be natural,
